Hey Derek! :) Thanks for your idea. We integrated a few ways to purchase WAX directly from the platform. Tap on your WAX amount to open up the dialog I just added.

Marked as resolved by Binance? :D
Derek Swank
José Tavares: yeah this is great. are more exchanges planned? I believe this did not include binance.us from what I heard

its pretty easy to use change now, they can buy coins where ever they like (coinbase) and just exchange thru change now to get wax, that would be the simplest way

Getting Wax listed on Coinbase would go a long way in giving a lot more people access to Wax.

We are aware of the problems of getting WAX but there is a good reason that its so limited in these countries. Regulations make it barely impossible to do that and we would basically classify as exchange if we would sell WAX on AtomicHub which we cannot handle. We are working on solutions though
Derek Swank
Fabian Emilius: I understand why you can’t do in AH. But you don’t need to. There are plenty of third party tools that you can leverage, you just have to spend time on education and marketing those services. OR help make the coin available on wider exchanges like Coinbase.
David Elvion
Derek Swank: Atomic is not WAX, they can not "make the coin available on wider exchanges".
Derek Swank
David Elvion: does Atomic have a strategic relationship with WAX? I should/would hope so. Maybe they should help push/broker that by any means necessary

How about being able to buy WAX ON Atomic Hub and not THROUGH Atomic Hub? KuCoin, Bittrex, or where ever they are available is where the issues are coming from. Personally, there have been several times when I've purchased WAX from Bittrex only to have it stuck in their wallet due to WAX wallet maintenance. Sometimes, this is for several days and that was just with Bittrex. Stores of all types have ATMs inside to get cash. Could Atomic Hub not have a "virtual" ATM?

I made a fairly indepth kucoin tutorial a few months ago...
Derek Swank
David Paras: this should be published to a wider audience and made more readily available to new users. Funko had the same issue as MLB and they were months apart. Liquidity brings in new users and new money. That’s the absolute most critical catalyst for growth. Access to wax. Have to solve that problem first.
David Paras
Derek Swank: by all means share away... I just have a tiny channel around NFT's - from my expirence with youtube it takes like a year or two for stuff like this to get exposure then it grows exponentially.
The big problem with wax which - I beleive they are working on is no ability to swap directly to usdc or usd - if it got listed on coinbase that would be very nice.
But right now kucoin is the safest easiest way to buy it - aside from buying nft's for cash then selling NFTs for wax. It's actually quite difficult to buy - It took me near 3 hours to figure out how to buy it and send it to my account which is why I made the tutuorial.
I don't think it can have massive growth until it's more liquid and easier to buy and sell - ideally off ETH - direct to usd or to binance usdc otherwise there is no point with the ETH gas fees.
David Elvion
David Paras: you can use the ETH bridge to transfer ETH, BTC, BNB, BUSD etc into wax using the https://wallet.wax.io/eth-bridge site
David Paras
David Elvion: sure but it costs a fortune to do that with the Eth, btc, fees - bnb isn't too bad, but it's still substantually cheaper to buy on exchange and transfer to you account for 5-30 wax (kukoins transfer rate fluctuates).
The fact is the eth bridge is extremely complex and scary for someone new to crypto - so if were talking about ease and mass adoption the answer is a listing on major exchanges.
I'm a fairly advanced user I've created my own pack drops and what not, but the eth bridge goes over my head a bit as well as the fee's a just not at all reasonable - even with the new update.
If you did not previously have lots of ETH none of the transactions are affordable - part of it is due to the way the transfer cost is calculated, if you're not sending thousands of dollars you losing more than your sending - like a few months ago before the update when the fee's were 10x the cost they were now to send 10 wax over ETH cost $80-200 pending on when you did the transaction.
Who in their right mind is going to even send 1000 wax if it'll cost them 80-$200 to do so???
I don't even want to pay $15-30 to do that - which is also why I think wax has such a bright future. Eth makes it impossible to do small transactions at a reasonable price. When that goes to the bear market it's going to burn to the ground. I think wax is a lot safer in that regade due to the projects and gamification + zero transaction fees.
It's a bit off topic but it answers your question.
David Elvion
David Paras: I use Huobi, 5 wax fees to withdraw. It doesnt get easier than that.
David Elvion
David Paras: "It's a bit off topic but it answers your question." I didnt have a question, you just went on an ETH rant. I agree with you on ETH fees, I was just pointing out there is the ETH fees to get whales on ETH on WAX. Not for little nocoiners of course.
TecnoCR
I don't know how Wax tokenomics works, but if it is possible, it should be possible to share it directly on the site or insert a DiFi sawp so that you can at least buy wax through other cryptocurrencies and not only through exchanges.
David Elvion
TecnoCR: I am not aware of any swap that has WAX, but you can use the WAX ETH bridge
David Paras
TecnoCR: You can do this directly throguh the alcor exchange - under the swap feature - you can swap tokens and do liquidity farming, but there are no staking pools for the liquidty farming, (yet) you just get a percent of the trasnaction fees - I only recomend this for the cait pairing right now due to the volitity of the market - you will likely lose a lot due to impermanant loss - unless your planning on holding for like a solid year or longer.
David Elvion
David Paras: you can do liquidity farming on wallet.wax.io under "DeFi"
